David Walliams lost his contract with publishing house.
Best-selling children's author and entertainer David Walliams is no longer with his longtime publishing house, according to an announcement.
A representative for the publisher commented: "Following a thorough review, and following the appointment of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK has chosen to cease publishing future works by David Walliams."
It has been reported that the conclusion was reached following an investigation into allegations of inappropriate behaviour involving women.
The publisher declined to specify the motivations for this action, noting: "We do not comment on internal matters."
A Prolific Publishing History
Walliams ranks among Britain's most successful children's authors, with sales exceeding in excess of 60 million copies internationally in five dozen languages.
His first children's book, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins back in 2008.
Some of his works, for example *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as TV movies.
He has published over four dozen titles combined, encompassing a festive story named *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins last autumn.
Television and Literature
His initial claim to fame came on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his duties as an arbiter on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was awarded an OBE back in 2017 honoring his contributions to philanthropic and artistic endeavors.
The publisher's decision comes after the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's new chief executive last fall.
